Billerica Police Go Above and Beyond to Deliver Lost Amazon Packages (Twice!)

Police officers in Billerica, Massachusetts, have unexpectedly taken on the role of delivery drivers after finding more than a dozen Amazon packages abandoned on local roads on two separate occasions in as many weeks.

​The first incident occurred the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Officer Sam Hawkes was on patrol near the Market Basket on Boston Road when he found eight Amazon packages scattered in the middle of the street.

​"I got out thinking they were trash and [thought about] just pushing them closer to the dumpsters there," said Officer Hawkes. "But then I found out they were full packages with orders inside."

​Instead of leaving them, Officer Hawkes called for backup. He and his colleagues loaded the packages into two police cruisers and hand-delivered every item to its rightful owner. Officer Hawkes noted they were looking for cameras or witnesses but found none.

​One of the lucky recipients was John Thomas's wife. Mr. Thomas was watching a football game when he was surprised by a knock at the door. "I walked out to get it, and I was like oh boy what happened now," Thomas joked, only to find police officers holding his wife's package.

​The incredible scenario repeated itself this week when officers discovered another eight Amazon packages lying on the side of Salem Road across town. The officers who found them provided the same extraordinary courtesy, personally delivering the items.

​"We all have to help each other out," said Officer Tom Cranson, who assisted in the package pickup. "It is obviously stressful during the holidays so just to get people's packages back was a huge stress reliever for everybody."

​John Thomas expressed deep gratitude for the officers' efforts. "They have a lot of other things to do besides delivering packages, and I was very appreciative," he said. Amazon acknowledged they were working with the Billerica Police Department but offered no further comment.

​The Hidden Costs of Last-Mile Delivery

​While the Billerica Police Department’s actions are commendable, the recurring issue of lost packages highlights potential systemic problems in the delivery process, particularly concerning the compensation and working conditions for Amazon Flex drivers.

​Flex drivers, who are independent contractors, are often paid around $18.50 per hour. A standard delivery block can range from a handful up to 45 packages to be delivered in a roughly four-hour timeframe.

​This hourly wage is the gross pay, not including significant out-of-pocket expenses that the subcontractor driver is responsible for, such as:

• ​Gas and Fuel
• ​Vehicle Wear and Tear
• ​Car Insurance
• ​Taxes: Once a driver earns over $600 in revenue, they are responsible for paying all self-employment taxes, including Social Security, State, and Federal taxes.

​The low effective wage, combined with the stress of meeting high package quotas in tight timeframes, can lead to the "negativity and stress" drivers experience. It raises the question of whether police resources should be dedicated to fixing the symptoms of underpaid labor rather than drawing attention to the underlying issue of low wages and the resulting pressure on drivers, which may contribute to these package losses.

Time for New Leadership.

   The past 4 years a steady decline in Massachusetts in all areas of growth, Jobs, new business openings and over major spending sprees that are costing our municipalities Billions. Time for New Leadership.

             

    Massachusetts has seen a significant increase in spending on migrant support in recent years. Since 2023, the state has allocated an estimated $2 billion for housing migrants. For the current fiscal year alone, Massachusetts is projected to spend over $1 billion on its Emergency Assistance system, with a substantial portion dedicated to housing migrant families in state-funded shelters. 

          

   Governor Maura Healey has approved $453 million in supplemental funding for emergency shelter and services for migrants and other homeless individuals, highlighting the ongoing financial challenges faced by the state in addressing this issue. Which should be a non issue. Massachusetts long time residents first.

       

   Many elderly, veterans and disabled legal Massachusetts residents have been deprioritized and illegal immigrants have be pushed further ahead on Governor Healeys Homebase program.

   Massachusetts ranks 6th highest in electricity costs among U.S. states, a burden felt by residents and businesses alike. Governor Maura Healey's decision not to approve the proposed natural gas pipeline project has been a point of contention. Many believe this choice contributes to the state's high energy prices, as the pipeline could have potentially increased supply and lowered costs.

     

   Massachusetts' free jail call policy was signed into law by Governor Healy on November 17th 2023. As of April 2025, Massachusetts sheriffs' offices have lost $12.5 million in revenue due to the free jail call policy. The state initially allocated $20 million for the first eight months after the law took effect in December 2023, but the current budget only provides $10 million for this fiscal year.

    Governor Healey's lack of leadership on issues of cashless bail for higher degree misdemeanors and support of needle exchange programs and leniency for drug possession are going the way of Portland, Oregon or San Francisco that is finally doing away with these policies that increase crime not decrease.

   Healey has drained State Funds and is pushing them on local towns and now has a 2% transfer tax when selling personal residence.

   More than 50 municipalities are seeking overides this is year. When Healey took office 60 municipalities sought overides. The Healey administration if left to continue to bleed the state will be set to break the 2008 overide record of 150 overide votes.

   

   Massachusetts budget has increased from $43 Billion in 2020 to $62 Billion for 2025.

   

   From 2020 to 2024, Massachusetts' private sector growth lagged behind the national average, ranking 28th among all states. The state's economy experienced the slowest growth in sectors traditionally considered its strengths, including healthcare, medicine, and technology.

   Governor Healey trajectory for Massachusetts has shown a major decline. It's time for change of Guards.

Two Transgender Madness Shootings kill 2 children in Minnesota, next day a man shot and killed in Massachusetts.

Kevin Doherty, a father from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, was shot and killed Thursday by Snehal Srivastava pictured above. Kevin Doherty saw Sasha the Trans man preferred female name spraying graffiti on a bridge and took picures of the crime and called 911.

The trans man shot Mr.Doherty several times while he was on 911 and Dispatch could hear the shots and Mr.Doherty saying he has been shot and the call ended.

Mr. Doherty just dropped his six-year-old son off at school when he saw Snehal spray-painting graffiti on the bridge near Jordan Pond.

Snehal, who was born a man, currently used the name “Sasha.”

Snehal, or Sasha, is also a far left Jew-hater and pro Palestinian supporter. He is well known by the Shrewsbury police.

He was 6aken in custody a few hours later and his next court date is September 12, 2025 and remains in jail.

Local media has not reported on this is the 2nd time this week and within 1 day of another transgender shooting and killing people. 

Minneapolis residents are in mourning after a shooter opened fire on Wednesday, August 27 in a church filled with children and other worshippers during a Mass to mark the first week of school. Authorities say two children were killed and 18 more people were injured.

In this shooting a Transgender who born a male and  went by the name Robin Westman ag 23 shot and killed himself.

Police found he was unhappy and depressed about his transition and a deep hate for Catholics.

In 2020, Westman's mother applied to change the name of her 17-year-old son from Robert to Robin. In court documents, the mother, Mary Grace Westman, wrote, "minor child identifies as female and wants her name to reflect that identification."

people held on Rikers Island each year need access to supportive housing. The city spends

$1.4 billion to incarcerate them, while it would cost just $108 million to provide them with

supportive housing—less than 8 percent of jail expenses. By expanding supportive housing

beds, and deploying DCS officers to help direct people experiencing homelessness into

them, we can greatly reduce homelessness and save money.

Sounds good if it was fact based. Sounds like it cost $1.4 Billion to house more than 2500 people at rikers and he has a plan to place them in housing for only $108 Million a fraction of the cost, less than 8% of jail expenses.

This is when you don't take any politicians plans at face value. Rikers budget for the year is $1.4  Billion. Each year, approximately 87,000 inmates are admitted to Rikers Island. The average daily population is around 10,000 inmates, with a large majority (85%) being pretrial detainees.

His plan says more than 2500 and that more than is the 87,000. Now we come to the $108 million what exactly is that number refer to. $108 million divided by the yearly average at Rikers is $1241 per inmates per year. I don't think it's the whole Rikers population his plans is referring to.

So more inductive deductive reasoning and ask Zohfran if you don't know what that means. So I will use 2500 number used. $43,200 per inmate at 2500 comes to $108 million. 

So that's rent of $3600 per month. Now I don't know what type of housing his plans is. Is it an apartment, rooming house, open dorm. I don't know if that figure includes food, clothing,medical. So sounds good until you start breaking it down.

The cost to house an average inmate at Rikers Island is approximately $556,539 per year. This figure includes not only the direct budget of the Department of Correction, but also additional expenses like employee fringe benefits and health care costs for inmates. The cost has significantly increased, nearly quadrupling since 2011. 

So that fraction of the cost at 8% is a arbitrary number. $108 million is 12% of $1.4 Billion so even the 8% doesnt make sense.

I don't know Jeff Metcalf. Anyone today can find out anything they want about anyone.

I know Mr.Metcalf is a license real estate agent and his license expires 2026.

I know he got his Texas real estate license around 2002.

I know he had to take so many credits every year to keep his license current and he did that every year since 2002 for 24 years. 

I also looked up if he was ever disciplined by the board on the same Texas State website and I knew what the answer would be. Zero.

His work history was listed with the various great companies he worked in real estate from 2002 to present were listed.

I feel like I'm spying on this man I never met yet I knew what the answer was going to be yet I still had to keep digging. Do the right thing.

So a company called PeopleConnect owns several people search sites. Intellius. TruthFinder so I payed the $24 to see what came up.

His age, address, no criminal history and just that we were a few years apart.

If he did go away or did things people accuse he wouldn't have his real estate license and their would be a gap in his work history or his year credits since 2002 for his license.

Valium, Sybil, Satanic Day Care Centers, Prozac, Xanax, ADHD and Gender Dysphoria. What they all have in common?

    Gender dysphoria diagnoses surged recently, with Reuters reporting 42K U.S. kids/teens diagnosed in 2021, nearly 3x 2017's number. From 2017-2021, at least 121,882 kids aged 6-17 got this diagnosis. 

    A 2016 Journal of Adolescent Health review labeled these kids "singularly vulnerable" due to high depression, self-harm, and suicide rates. The APA's DSM notes kids can't fully grasp gender identity, and most eventually accept their biological sex, ceasing to identify as the opposite.

   Aiding this increase is the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that “gender dysphoria” is not categorically excluded from the ADA’s definition of “disability.” When enacted in 1990, the ADA excluded certain diagnoses, including the now-obsolete “gender identity disorders.” In Williams v. Kincaid, the court examined whether “gender dysphoria,” a more recent diagnosis, falls under this exclusion or is a distinct condition.

   The disability Law Center of Virginia argued in an amicus brief that gender dysphoria is separate from “gender identity disorders.” The court agreed, stating that gender dysphoria involves “discomfort or distress caused by a discrepancy between a person’s gender identity and their sex assigned at birth,” often treatable with medical interventions like hormonal therapy. 

  The court distinguished it from “gender identity disorders” due to its focus on clinically significant distress, not just gender identity. On June 30, 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court denied the defendant’s petition for certiorari, upholding the Fourth Circuit’s decision.

   Transgender identity is not a disability, and not all transgender individuals have or identify with a gender dysphoria diagnosis. However, per Williams v. Kincaid, those diagnosed with gender dysphoria in the Fourth Circuit—covering Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia—are not excluded from ADA protections.

   Children may qualify for SSI benefits if medical conditions cause marked, severe functional limitations. SSA assesses cases individually, considering overall condition and impact on age-appropriate activities.

   So it seems that with any new disorders comes increase of of diagnosis. Along with increase of disability claims. This is often seen in psychiatry thru out the decades. In the 1960s Valium came out and everyone was stressed out and needed a prescription of Valium.

    8 years later Valium was the most abused medication and another disorder that comes along in psychiatry is benzo addiction and treatment of Valium withdrawal at psychiatric hospitals. 

   Sybil the book then movie comes out in the 1970s and a new star is born in psychiatric diagnosis "Multiple Personality disorder". 

   NPR reports that, after the book and film, diagnoses went from a few hundred to thousands. By the late 1980s, there were 40,000 cases diagnosed in the United States alone. Some experts argue that the popularity of "Sybil" contributed to overdiagnosis of the condition. It's also important to note that the real person behind "Sybil," Shirley Mason, later admitted that her multiple personalities were fabricated. 

      So that brings us to the 1980s and satanic cults in day care centers across America. Prozac and Xanax late 80s,  a wonder antidepressant that everyone needed to a new benzodiazipine that wasn't addictive because it's short half life.  5 years later psychiatry learns the hard way, Xanax was the most addictive and abused tranquilizer and needed hospitalization to come off of.

   ADHD, ADD, The Twinkie Defense( Yes it's a real psychiatric defense) to Video Game, Porn, Food Addiction and now the pseudoscience of Gender Affirming care that is a multi-billion dollar industry in America. Psychiatry, Surgeons, Non-Profits, Venture capitalists, Pharmaceutical companies, Cable shows(I Am Jazz) to Pro Palestinian groups jumping on the band wagon to get their share of the pie of the Islam Loving Free Palestinian Transgender community.

    Yet as I summize this will go the way the other attempts that psychiatry tried to validify a new revenue stream of diagnosis. Like Sybil who faked 16 personalities and now how over 200,000 Adolescents claiming to be something there not just seem to be learning from Sybil her/him/it self.
